{"id":4372,"date":"2024-01-16T17:14:51","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T09:14:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovechild.tcu.edu.tw\/?p=4372"},"modified":"2024-01-16T17:14:51","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T09:14:51","slug":"curriculum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovechild.tcu.edu.tw\/?p=4372","title":{"rendered":"Curriculum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Child Development and Family Studies stipulates that to graduate, students must fulfill core university requirements, major-specific courses, and accrue at least 128 units.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Core University Requirements (33 credits)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>(1) Physical education (3 credits)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sports and Health (2 credits): Required, and is 2 hours per week.<\/li>\n<li>Physical Education Activity (1 credit): Selection from available classes, 2 hours per week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>(2) General education (28 credits)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Required courses (10 credits)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chinese Reading and Writing; Basic English; Education for Life; Tzu Chi Humanistic Culture and Service-Learning; and Web Visual Programming, each worth 2 credits.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Elective courses (18 credits)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students select from classes offered.<\/p>\n<p>(3)Foreign language (2 credits)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Major Requirements<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>(1) Required courses (38 credits): Must be completed.<\/p>\n<p>(2) Specific modules: At least one module is required.<\/p>\n<p>(3) Elective Courses<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Credits needed are determined by subtracting credits earned from core university requirements and other major-related courses from the total of 128 credits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Electives may be taken from courses provided by the University or off-campus institutions.
